About Lori

I am a high school history teacher that lives in MA.  I’ve taught at three high schools: Timberlane Regional High School in Plaistow, NH, Newburyport High School in Newburyport, MA, and Salem High School in Salem, MA. Home of the Witches, I’m currently teaching 9th grade World Studies and 10th grade US History Part I.  I’m also the adviser to the Class of 2010.

I have my BA in History from Western Illinois University and MAT in History from Fitchburg State College.  My focus in undergraduate and graduate school was US History.  Since I’ve started teaching in 1999, World History has become my true passion. A few of my favorite units to teach include the following: French Revolution, World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War/Conflict.

I was born and raised in a small town in Illinois (about 600 people) and have been living in New England since 1994.  Thanks to my parents, Paul and Joela, I have the travel bug!  They used to take my younger sister, Amanda, and I all over the country to visit all the sites.  My parents are getting ready for early retirement and have bought a 5th wheel camper to travel all over the United States.

When I’m not traveling the world, I enjoy watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees, hanging out with my friends in Boston or Portsmouth, NH, scrapbooking, walking on the beach at Plum Island, and spending quality time with Ellie the Cat.

  3. Hi Ms. M – I can’t find any other way to get in touch with you, so I hope you get this! I must’ve lost your email and I tried to contact some people at Salem High, I was unsuccessful there as well.

My email is ejnoel@gmail.com – we need to catch up, it’s been way too long!
